Kara grew up in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Springfield in 2022. In 2006 she converted to the Catholic Church and has enjoyed diving deeper into the faith ever since. She is a wife and mother of 10 children ages 20 down to 5. Two of her children were adopted from Ukraine and have Down syndrome.
As a mother, Kara has had experience with almost every schooling option available; her children have been homeschooled, attended diocesan private schools, public schools, special education programs, charter schools, independent classical Catholic schools, and a hybrid school. The close-knit Catholic community and focus on the classics at the independent classical schools has been where her children have thrived the most and she looks forward to helping build and share that experience with families in Southwest Missouri.
